20 hawkers held in Jleeb raid

KUWAIT CITY, March 5: Farwaniya securitymen arrested 20 violators of residency law and hawkers during a campaign they launched in pop-up markets in Hasawi and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh areas targeting hawkers. According to security sources, the campaign was aimed at curbing the negative phenomenon of street hawkers prevalent in many parts of the country.

They affirmed that securitymen will continue to launch such sudden campaign in all governorates in line with instructions and guidance from the Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs at Ministry of Interior Major General Ibrahim Al-Tarrah.
