2 more deaths, 41 new cases in UAE – 154 new cases in Saudi Arabia

ABU DHABI, March 30 (KUNA) — The United Arab Emirates (UAE) Monday said two persons died of coronavirus, 41 people tested positive and three individuals recovered.
The Ministry of health said two persons – a 48-year-old Arab and 42-year-old Asian – died after suffering from complications caused by the virus, increasing number of fatalities to five.
The ministry added in a statement two of the new 41 cases were in the intensive care unit. Total registered infections reach 611, and total recoveries at 61.

QATAR
Ministry of Public Health announces today the registration of 59 new confirmed cases of coronavirus (Covid 19), in addition to 3 more cases of patients recovering from the virus.

OMAN
Oman announced 12 new cases of coronavirus today, taking the total number of cases registered in the Sultanate to 179. The Health Ministry also confirmed that 29 people have recovered.

Bahrain registers 15 coronavirus cases, recovery of seven

Bahrain’s Ministry of Health Monday registered new 15 coronavirus cases while seven persons recovered from the disease. The ministry, in a statement on its website, said total recoveries reached 279. Number of registered cases is 232, of them two in the intensive care unit, it added. A Bahraini national passed away of the virus last Wednesday. The 78-year-old male had a history of chronic diseases

SAUDI ARABIA

Saudi Ministry of Health Monday said 154 people tested positive for coronavirus to increase number of registered cases to 1,453.
Ministry spokesman Dr. Mohammad Al-Abdulaali told a news conference the country did not register any death cases but noted that 22 infectees were in the intensive care units.
He said 49 people recovered from the virus to raise total recoveries to 115.
Minister of health Dr. Tawfiq Al-Rabiah had said earlier today King Salman bin Abdulaziz instructed free coronavirus treatment for citizens, expatriates and even those violating residency law.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Interior said it was slamming some neighborhoods in the Makkah with full curfew for the sake of safety and wellbeing of people living there.
A ministry statement, cited by the official SPA news agency, said the neighborhoods were Ajyad, Masafi, Masfala, Hajoon, Nakkasa and Housh Baker.
However, it said, people could only leave to buy food or seek medical attention.
