180 stores in Farwaniya closed for violating precautionary measures

KUWAIT, May 16: – Kuwait Municipality announced today, Saturday, that it closed 189 stores in Farwaniya Governorate during the month of April, in violation of precautionary measures to avoid the spread of the new Corona virus (Covid 19).

The municipality said in a press statement today, Saturday, that its supervisory teams have issued 622 various violations, and sent 2,666 warnings to shops, cafes, salons, restaurants, groceries, supermarkets, cattle markets and fish to comply with the decision of the Council of Ministers and the Ministry of Health.

Municipality explained that the monitoring tours come within the framework of the efforts made by the municipality to confront the implications of the Corona virus based on the decisions of the cabinet ministers and the Ministry of Health.

Municipality pointed out that the team disconnected electricity from 31 violating properties, evacuated 11 properties housing bachelors, in addition to vacating 60 properties from commercial and storage activities, and closed 73 commercial activities from violating properties. In addition to issuing notice to 73 violations of real estate that were used for purposes other than the authorized purpose.

172 neglected vehicles and scraps had been lifted, 750 warning labels placed on neglected cars, and the citations issued for 30 violations of the decree (9/87) by banning some acts harmful to public cleanliness and environment.

It stated that the team issued 120 violations of the regulations for public cleanliness and transport of waste (190/2008) and 124 violations of road works in violation of the list of permits for the use of squares and public sidewalks, as well as 62 violations for street vendors as well as washing and sterilizing 73270 containers of different sizes and baskets.
