15 arrested in surprise traffic raids

Surprise traffic campaign resulted in seizing 23 vehicles and 15 individuals – MOI photos

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 11: A total of 23 vehicles were seized and 15 individuals were arrested during a surprise traffic campaign held in certain location where reckless drivers normally gather to perform stunts, reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The General Department of Public Relations and Media Security at Ministry of Interior explained that the campaign was aimed at controlling traffic in various locations, curbing gathering of reckless drivers, and protecting not only road users but also the lives and properties of the public.

Such traffic campaigns will continue in all areas to curb the phenomenon of reckless driving, apply laws for the protection of road users, issue citations for all direct and indirect violations, ensure traffic rules and regulations are followed and hold awareness campaigns on all types of media.
