Two young Saudi imposters rob people

KUWAIT CITY, March 8: The Jahra police have arrested two young Saudis for impersonating police and robbing people, reports Al-Rai daily. According to a security source, the arrests came after several people living in Jahra complained of the thefts and police were forced to put the area under surveillance. The suspects were reportedly wearing fake police badges and carrying forged IDs. Police have seized from the men fake documents, the car used in committing the crime and handed them over to the concerned authority.

Indian trio arrested: Police have arrested three Indians for bootlegging, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the arrest came when one of the bootleggers saw a police patrol entered a building. Police followed him and took him into custody and confiscated from his house 230 bottles of locally manufactured booze ready for sale. Police also seized 18 barrels of raw material and alcohol manufacturing equipment. The contraband and the bootleggers have been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control.

Saudi held with drugs: The Jahra police have arrested a Saudi man for possessing drugs — hashish, shabu and narcotic tablets — and drug consuming tools, reports Annahar daily. The daily added, the man was initially arrested for speeding in a suburb of Sa’ad Al-Abdullah and while checking his documents police found he was abnormal. Securitymen then checked his vehicle and found the drugs. The contraband and the suspect have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.

‘Daughter abducted’: A Filipina has filed a complaint with the Salmiya Police Station accusing her Egyptian husband of kidnapping their 2-year-old daughter and leaving the country, reports Al-Anba daily. The wife claimed she knows nothing about the man’s whereabouts in Egypt.
