10,000 Kuwaitis join govt service in 6 months

KUWAIT CITY, Oct 8: Statistics prepared by the Al-Anba daily based on official figures show that the government appointed about 10,000 male and female citizens in the first 6 months of this year. According to the figures, of them 9786 citizens are employed in state ministries, and state-affiliated institutions and companies, where the ministries of Education, Electricity and Water recorded the highest rates of employment during that period, while 1454 male and female citizens left work in the government sector during the same period, and a majority of them were from the ministries of Interior and Communication. According to a simple calculation, the net increase in the number of citizens working in the government sector amounted to 8,332 male and female citizens during the period from January to the end of June.

Meanwhile, the Public Authority for Manpower announced the basic data of the employer’s file is now available through the “Ashal” service and the authority’s electronic services, in addition to the ability to view the details of the needs assessment recorded on the file, reports Al-Anba daily. The authority added that it has also become available for employers to print data and details of need assessment via the “online”.
