SAUDI ARABIA has unquestionable sovereignty rights over its territory and can protect its nationals in any way it deems fit. This is why the Gulf, the Muslim region and the world supports it. Saudi Arabia, based on this theory, protected itself and preserved its security against the mercenary Houthis, who infiltrated its southern border. Although the evil intentions of the foreign-sponsored Houthi insurgency have been unveiled, it is important that all countries which support Iran, especially Syria, speak out against the Iranian use of the Houthi tools to attack Saudi Arabia. It is now obvious that the Iranian emperor intends to control the Gulf through Yemen. These mercenaries are only trying to complete the Iranian cleric’s claim that Muslims should change the qibla (the direction that Muslims face during prayer) from Makkah to Meshad in Iran. The highest Iranian authority had earlier raised unjustifiable issues against Saudi Arabia.
This reality reminds us of a popular adage which says, “If God Almighty is angry with an ant, He gives it wings.” Here is an imaginary imperial ant employing all its tools of destruction to realize a delusionary ambition. Anybody who follows the Iranian media broadcasts will quickly discover that Hassan Nasrallah’s turban is in Northern Yemen. What is Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi’s power in the face of Yemeni and Saudi forces? Doesn’t this show that somebody is behind this game? It is clear then, that Saudi Arabia is not fighting the insurgent Houthi group, but a monster whose destructive tentacles cover Northern Yemen and Southern Saudi Arabia.
It is now clear that the Houthis are the arrowheads of the Iranian war in the Gulf, just like the Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Iraqi insurgents that have links with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard. People are also aware that the issue transcends the Iranian nuclear file and efforts to mount pressure through spies in various Arab countries. The aim is, therefore, to control the regional wealth and resources. Isn’t this enough for the Muslim world to stop Iran from mortgaging and destabilizing Muslim nations?
All these incidents make us wonder when the Iranian criminal activities will end. There needs to be pressure exerted to advice Iran to respect the sovereignty of nations, which is impossible unless the Muslim world severs ties with Iran and isolates it, so that it does not convert Muslim and Arab nations to war zones. Clamping down on troublemakers in Northern Yemen is necessary to contain their activities in the Gulf region and other Arab nations. It is unacceptable for any Arab or Muslim nation to remain aloof on the plans and crimes of the Houthis. Do the Arabs realize the imminent danger in the offing?
