Maid jumps to death; Uncle dies not groom

KUWAIT CITY, Nov 1: An Asian maid, whose identity has not been disclosed, reportedly jumped to her death from the third floor of her sponsor’s apartment in Saad Al-Abdullah, reports Al-Rai daily.
The daily quoting security sources, police acting on information rushed to the spot and referred the remains to Forensics.
A case of suicide has been registered at the area police station.
Meanwhile, an Indonesian maid, whose identity has not been disclosed, is said to have jumped to her death from the roof of her sponsor’s apartment in Al-Naeem, Jahra, reports Arrouiah daily.
The remains of the victim have been referred to Forensics. Meanwhile, the security authorities are investigating the incident.

Uncle dies not groom: The uncle of an unidentified bridegroom died on the dance floor while celebrating the wedding of his nephew inside the Wedding Hall of the Hawalli Cooperative Society Union, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The daily added the man was performing the famous Arab Sword Dance. According to initial reports the man died of heart attack.
Earlier it was mistakenly reported that the bridegroom had collapsed and died on the dance floor.

2 caught drunk: The Ahmadi police have arrested two Kuwaitis and a Syrian for drinking alcohol and possessing two bottles of imported liquor. They were caught in a suburb of Mangaf, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The men have been referred to the concerned authorities for legal action.

Drunk gamblers: The Shamiya police have arrested six Bangladeshis for drinking alcohol and gambling in an open area in Shamiya, opposite Al-Sour, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The arrested persons have been referred to the concerned authority.

Bag of coins found: An unidentified Egyptian security guard is said to have found a bag containing Kuwaiti coins in the Jahra governorate, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The coins are estimated to be worth KD 80. It has also been reported he has found some quarter dinar bank notes which were in circulation prior to the invasion of the country by Iraq.
The bag has been handed over to the concerned authorities for necessary action.

Billboards removed: During a snap inspection campaign, the Kuwait Municipality is said to have removed 55 unlicensed billboards from road sides, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
It has been reported the billboards belong to ministries and government agencies.
