KUWAIT CITY, Oct 25: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti youth and his Syrian girlfriend for consuming alcohol in a public place, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily.
According to security sources the ‘lovers’ were caught inside their car on a beach in Al-Nuwaiseeb. At the time of the arrest both the lovers were reportedly high on alcohol.
Police are said to have seized a bottle of alcohol from the car and referred them to the authorities.

‘Raid legal’: In response to what has been published by local dailies about the Ministry of Interior that police recently raided the home of a Kuwaiti woman and turned everything topsy turvy, the ministry said it abides by legal procedures, reports Al-Anba daily.
The daily also quoted the raiding party was armed with a search and arrest warrant issued by the Public Prosecution.
The daily added the woman’s home was raided because her husband was caught possessing and consuming drugs. It has also been reported police have found from the home forged documents and stamps belonging to the ministries of Defence and Interior.
