Three Indian expats killed, eight others hurt in bus, truck collision
|
KUWAIT CITY, Oct 19: A collision between a bus carrying a number of cleaning personnel and a heavy vehicle belonging to the Kuwait Municipality on 7th Ring Road resulted in the death of three Indian expatriates - a man aged 37 years and two women aged 39 and 40 years - while eight Asians sustained injuries and fractures. Nine ambulances carrying 20 paramedics along with firemen and security officials rushed to the scene after receiving information about the accident. The firemen managed to rescue the victims from the vehicle and referred them to Farwaniya and Adan hospitals. A case was registered and initial investigations revealed the accident took place when the vehicle from the Kuwait Municipality hit the bus transporting the cleaning personnel to their place of work. Meanwhile, two Kuwaiti citizens sustained injuries in a two-vehicle collision on Mubarak Al-Kabeer Bridge. They were referred to Adan hospital by paramedics and a case was registered. Also, a two-vehicle collision on King Fahd Expressway resulted in the injury of an Egyptian expatriate aged 28 years. He was referred to Adan hospital by paramedics and a case was registered.
