KUWAIT CITY : An 18-year-old Kuwaiti girl has accused the head of a police patrol of raping her inside her boyfriend’s car in Mubarak Al-Kabir on Thursday.
The Public Prosecution summoned two members of the patrol team with the ranks of Lieutenant and First Sergeant along with the woman and her boyfriend for questioning.
Security sources revealed patrolmen noticed the suspicious movement of a vehicle while on routine duty in Mubarak Al-Kabir. Upon approaching the vehicle, police found the woman with her boyfriend inside. The Lieutenant then instructed the First Sergeant to drive the man’s car with the woman. The First Sergeant allegedly misused his authority and raped the woman inside the car. The Lieutenant is said to have covered up the crime.
The woman later informed her family about the incident and they immediately filed a case against the officers. Investigations are going on to verify the woman’s claim.
