Boy spraying foam killed; one stabbed

KUWAIT CITY  (Agencies): A 12-year-old boy died Thursday on Jamal Abdul-Nasser Road. He was hit by an unidentified motorist while spraying foam on the motorist during National and Liberation Days celebrations, reports Al-Rai daily.
Security sources said the boy climbed out of his family car on the road and was hit by a Qatari citizen. The boy died on the spot as a result of multiple injuries.
The sources added the boy was taken to a hospital before he was referred to Forensics. The Qatari man has been detained for interrogation. He is charged with unintentional ‘murder’.

Citizen stabbed: A Kuwaiti man was reportedly stabbed by a four-man gang on the Arabian Gulf Road while celebrating Kuwait Liberation Day has been admitted to the Mubarak Al-Kabir Hospital, reports Arrouiah daily.
The Operations Department of the Interior Ministry acting on information rushed paramedics to the area and took the man to the hospital, says the daily.
The man was reportedly stabbed several times with a sharp object. The incident took place when the victim reportedly sprayed foam on a family and the men accompanying the family reacted by beating the man and stabbing him.

Fire extinguisher used: Personnel from the Criminal Investigations Department CID have arrested two unidentified Kuwaitis for using a fire extinguisher during National and Liberation Days, reports Arrouiah daily.
The men reportedly sprayed an unidentified family with fire extinguishers during the celebration. Some members of the family were reportedly dazed by the incident. The men reportedly tried in vain to escape but they were chased, arrested and taken to the Rumaithiya Police Station. The members of the family were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Fire victim dies: A woman who had inhaled smoke caused by fire in a wedding hall in Al-Jahra city two days ago, died on Friday, Al-Jahra Hospital Director said.
The deceased, in her 60s, died after her blood circulation and heart ceased to function, Dr Khaled Al-Abdulghani told KUNA, but did not disclose the name of the deceased.
Soon after she arrived at the emergency department in Al-Jahra Hospital, he explained, she underwent urgent resuscitation and then taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
But she passed away tonight after cessation of the blood circulation and heart, he said.
The fire had already caused death of an old Kuwaiti and a Saudi women, as well as injuring over 60 others. They were rushed to Al-Jahra and Al-Farwaniya Hospitals.
Two more cases remain in the ICU in Al-Jahra Hospital.
