Kuwait : Personnel from the Central Prison administration have arrested some Asian workers for attempting to smuggle cosmetics to transvestite inmates, reports Alam Alyawm daily.
The contraband such as facial cream, powder and other cosmetics were found hidden inside food packets.
The workers have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Fire at Royal Hayat Hospital: The Automated Fire Fighting system came into operation when a small fire broke out inside the clothes store of one of the wards of the Royal Hayat Hospital in Jabriya, reports Al-Wasat daily.
The technical team at the hospital used fire extinguishers to control the fire before it spread to other areas.

Asian worker dies in fall: An Asian worker fell to his death from the eighth floor of the Special Forces building under construction belonging to the Interior Ministry, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The worker reportedly lost his balance and fell on his head.
Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man died in a tragic traffic accident on the Fourth Ring Motorway. Four other persons who sustained injuries were rushed to a hospital, reports Al-Dar daily.
Police are investigating the cause of the accident.
