KUWAIT CITY : Hawally security operatives have arrested four Asian expatriates who specialized in designing fraudulent ‘Visa’ credit cards which they used for purchasing various items from commercial complexes and supermarkets in the area, states a press release from the Ministry of Interior. According to the release, the area security outfit tasked a special task force to investigate the issue when information regarding activities of the suspects reached the unit. The team managed to arrest the four red-handed while they were in the process of buying items in a supermarket using the fake credit cards. The suspects disclosed during an investigation that they were acting on behalf of their supposed leader who pays them a percent for every successful operation. The securitymen later discovered 52 credit cards and passports and other valuable items estimated at KD 12,000 during a search of their hideouts. The Criminal Evidence visited the affected shops in the area and advised shop owners to scrutinize credit cards being used for purchasing items from all customers.
