Place to keep stolen cars discovered Selling revenue stamps at half the price

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 4: Security sources have found a den which is being used by the thieves as a store to conceal stolen cars in preparation to smuggle them into Iraq or dismantle them and sell parts, reports Al-Shahed daily quoting confidential sources. “The daily added, police have found six cars reported stolen by their owners in a near perfect hideout in a desert in Mutla’a.

The daily quoting security sources personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the suspects. Meanwhile, the security sources confirmed the detectives have managed to identify one of the suspects who has a criminal record. Although he is still on the run, police believe the man has three other accomplices.

Selling revenue stamps: Police have arrested an unidentified Asian and are looking for his partner for selling recycled revenue stamps, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the arrest came after a Kuwaiti saw the man standing besides the stamps vending machine at the Ahmadi Traffic Department and some people around him. He saw the man selling revenue stamps and he also bought one stamp and took it to the director of the department. The Asian was taken into custody and during interrogation he admitted to buying the stamps for half the price and gave police details about his accomplice.

Swindler for ouster: An Egyptian lady was referred to deportation department for fraud and swindling many persons by collecting KD 7,000, reports Al-Rai daily. Acting on information, an Egyptian lady got her residence upon her Kuwaiti daughter and issued commercial license and carried out fraud and swindling process upon many persons and seized about KD 7,000.
