Top cop insulted

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: Head of Ali Al- Sabah police station registered a case against three loiterers who insulted him while on duty. The first suspect is said to have blocked the patrol car before running inside the house, while the others insulted the officer and took snaps of him.

Military man held: The Ahmadi police have arrested a military man for possessing drugs, reports Al-Rai daily. A police patrol on routine duty in Al-Dhaher stopped the suspect for violating traffic laws and while issuing citation they found hashish and drug consuming tools from the car. The drugs and the suspect have been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.

4 km long cable stolen: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing electrical cables from lampposts in Al-Rawdatain near the oil establishments, reports Al-Rai daily. A complaint has been filed with Qashaniyah Police Station by an employee of the Safety and Security Department of the Ministry of Electricity and Water. The length of the stolen cable is believed to be 4 ms long.

Theft bid foiled: Police have arrested an unidentified person and are looking for 14 others for attempting to rob a store in Amghara belonging to the Ministry of Public Works, reports Al-Seyassah daily. A security source said the Egyptian guard felt the presence of some men in the store and armed with a metal pipe attacked them. One of them was seriously injured and could not escape. He has been admitted to a hospital under police guard with swollen eye and eight-centimeter deep cut on his head. He was taken to the hospital by paramedics and police.
