Egyptian woman perishes as husband, girl hurt in mishap

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 2: An Egyptian woman died while her husband and daughter sustained injuries when their vehicle flipped over on Salmi Motorway. Securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location after the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry received information on the accident. However, the woman succumbed to her wounds. Her remains were referred to Forensics. Paramedics took the husband and daughter to Jahra Hospital and investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances leading to the accident.

Drugs found on four: Two Kuwaitis, a Bedoun and a Tunisian woman were arrested in Shuwaikh Industrial Area for the possession of a bag containing shabu, some rolls of hashish, a cleaver and forged money. The arrest took place when a team of securitymen conducted a surprise inspection campaign in the area. The suspects and the confiscated items have been referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.

Drug pills seized: Special Forces officers apprehended a military personnel working in the Interior Ministry at Bneid Al-Qar accompanied by a Bedoun youth in possession of narcotic pills, sharp weapon and handcuffs. Apparently, the officers were on routine patrol in the area late at night when the military man and his companion aroused their suspicion due to the manner in which he was driving. The officer waved them to stop for checking and found the contraband after conducting a search inside the vehicle. They were referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.
