80 arrested in Jleeb garages raid Police hunt ‘stuntman’

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1: During a surprise inspection campaign of garages in the suburb of Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, the concerned authorities are said to have arrested 80 people of different nationalities for violating the Labor Law, reports Al-Rai daily. All those arrested have been referred to the General Immigration Department to prepare their deportation from the country.

‘Stuntman’ sought: Police are looking for unidentified persons for stealing a car and using it to make stunts in Jahra, reports Al-Anba daily The daily added, when the vehicle stopped running after the back tire and rim were totally damaged, they abandoned it and escaped. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprits.

Cash, jewelry stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified burglar who broke into the home of a Kuwaiti family in Sabahiya and stole KD 3,000 cash and jewelry worth KD 1,000, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the theft occurred when the family was holidaying outside the country. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.

Drunkard harasses nurse: Police have arrested a Kuwaiti for consuming alcohol and harassing a female nurse at the Al-Sabah Hospital, reports Al- Shahed daily. The man reportedly began flirting with her and offered to marry her publicly.
