Residents still waiting for completion of infrastructures

KUWAIT CITY, Sept 1:  Although the residents of Sabah Al- Ahmad Residential City received their houses and plots since 2010 — as the first Kuwaiti city distributed according to plan, the residents are still waiting for government’s seriousness to complete the needed governmental buildings, as well as infrastructures and services, reports Al- Seyassah daily.

Many of the residents have not practically received buildings to end their sufferings for the past three years, while they continue to pay rent and installments for housing loans.

They demanded that officials should execute the road networks in the city rather than finding excuses on lack of adequate manpower and equipment to complete the city’s infrastructure projects.

They complained the main roads within the city whose foundation stones were laid in 2010 have yet to be completed. They pointed out that the situation is risky to the lives of residents and road users who pass through the place to and from Wafra and Kabad. They urged the government to expedite action on Road 306 that extends to King Fahad Road towards Wafra. They stressed the need to build roundabouts to regulate traffic flow.
