Citizen acquitted of abduction

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 27: The Criminal Court acquitted a Kuwaiti citizen who was accused of abducting his friend and threatening to rape him. According to the testimony of the plaintiff, his abductor took his car keys and drove his car to a desert region where he forced him to remove his clothes at gunpoint and threatened to hurt him.

He later took him to his house where he threatened to rape him. However, the defense counsel Attorney Mohammad Al-Khaldi objected to plaintiff’s statement, stressing that it is full of contradictions and inconsistencies, and lacked concrete evidences. He pointed out contradictions in the medical report and the plaintiff’s statement, stressing that there is no proof of physical attack in the report.
