Turks sanction Kuwaiti duo

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 25: The Turkish government has given orders to freeze the assets of six foreigners, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The decision came after the men were blacklisted by the United Nations Security Council accused of financing terrorism and recruiting militants for al-Qaeda network. They are also accused of having links to the Al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State of Iraq and Sham (ISIS).

The six foreigners are Kuwaitis Hajjaj Bin Fahd Al-Ajmi and Hamid Hamad Hamid; Saudis Abdelrahman Muhammad Zaref Al-Dabidi Al- Jahani and Abdul Mohsen Abdallah Ibrahim Al-Charekh; Iraqi Abu Muhammad Al-Adnani Al-Ali and Algerian Said Arif. The decision is subject to appeal at the Turkey’s Council of State, the country’s highest administrative court within 60 days.
