Kuwaiti, Syrian caught robbing people at gunpoint

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 22:  The Farwaniya police have arrested a Kuwaiti and a Syrian for robbing passersby at gunpoint in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh, reports Al- Rai daily. The arrest came after Director of Investigations in the Farwaniya governorate Mansour Al-Hajeri formed a team to investigate the thefts in the area. During interrogation, the suspects are said to have admitted to committing 11 thefts. They have been referred to the concerned authorities.

Maid steals jewelry: Police are looking for an unidentified Asian maid, for allegedly stealing jewelry worth KD 2,160 from the bedroom of her sponsor, reports Al-Rai daily In her complaint to the Abu Halifa Police Station said, the maid stole the gold ornaments from her apartment during her absence. A case has been registered at the area police station. Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti man, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing his maid of stealing KD 8,000, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily added, according to the Kuwaiti he discovered the theft when he and his family returned home from a vacation abroad. He found the house door open and the money missing. He has provided police description and particulars of the maid.

Filipina denies theft: An unidentified Filipino maid has denied accusations that she has stolen valuables from her sponsor’s home in Jahra reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, the sponsor suspected the maid of stealing from his house and took her to the area police station, where the latter denied the accusation. Police are investigating.
