KUWAIT CITY, Aug 17: MP Abdullah Al- Ma’ayouf has called on the government to apply the law against all troublemakers and those who provoke chaos strictly and without discrimination, reports Al- Seyassah daily. He warned the citizens against adopting the ‘DAESH’ ideology.

He said in an interview with the daily, “We are not worried about the security situation abroad as much as we worry of the internal security,” hoping not to give DAESH room more than its size.

He stressed DAESH is merely a group of militants and gangs that have gathered to achieve certain goals. However, it is similar to mafia and it cannot work outside its limits. He asked for pinpointing those who belong to DAESH, but is against withdrawing their nationality, saying their activities fall within personal freedoms. “We are not against those who support the DAESH ideology provided they do not adopt it in reality.

However, those who are working with DAESH inside Kuwait to accomplish its goals in the country and those who are spreading its ideology in mosques and charity societies must be tried in courts.

Moreover, those who are proved to have fought alongside DAESH or joined this organization and carried out murders do not deserve to be Kuwaiti and their citizenship must be revoked. He asked the government to continue opening all citizenship files and apply the law on all without discrimination.
