50 Asian cross-dressers held Trio selling used stamps

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: Personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department have arrested a three-man gang — two Egyptians and an Indian — for recycling revenue stamps, reports Al-Shahed daily. One of the Egyptians reportedly works as a company representative and after police received information that he was selling stamps for half the face value, a trap was set for him and he was caught in the act. During interrogation he admitted to the charge and gave police names of his accomplices. The suspects have been referred to the concerned authorities.

50 cross-dressers held: The vice squad of the Criminal Investigation Department has arrested about 50 Asian cross-dressers working in shops and massage salons, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The daily a directive for their arrest was issued when the security authorities received a tip-off on their illegal activities. This is part of the security activity to combat crime.

Indian fraudster caught: A 37- year old Indian expatriate was arrested at Kuwait International Airport as he was wanted by law for fraud and for swindling people of their money, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Sources revealed that the suspect was arrested when he arrived at the airport from a GCC country. He was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.

Smuggling bid foiled: Customs officers at the Sulaibiya border post have seized three tankers filled with petroleum products, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to information the tankers belonging to a Kuwaiti company were on their way to an unidentified GCC state. The daily said 75 tons of petroleum derivatives have been seized from the three tankers and the issue has been referred to the concerned authorities.
