Kuwaitis among 12 held for gambling in Salmiya home Defense staffer perishes ‘making bomb’

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15: Securitymen arrested 12 individuals including Kuwaiti citizens for gambling inside a flat in Salmiya area and confiscated a special table used for gambling and other related equipments. According to security sources, when Brigadier Mohammad Al- Sarhan received information about a flat being used for gambling, he formed a security team for investigations under the guidance of Assistant Undersecretary for Criminal Security Affairs Major General Abdulhameed Al-Awadi and Director of General Department for Criminal Evidences Major General Mahmoud Al-Tabakh. After confirming the information and taking necessary legal measures, the team raided the flat and arrested 12 individuals. They also confiscated all the items that were used for gambling. The suspects were referred with the items to the concerned authorities for further investigations.

Dies making bomb: An employee of the Ministry of Defence, who is believed to be in his 30s, died in his home while allegedly making an explosive device, reports Al-Rai daily. According to security sources the man was alone when the death occurred in the Diwaniya of his home. It has been reported when the Operations Department of the Ministry of Interior received a report on the fire in the house of the victim, securitymen accompanied by firefighters rushed to the place and discovered it was a limited fire.

However, in the Diwaniya they saw near the corpse of the victim strange objects and a leaflet with instructions how to make a bomb. The remains of the victim who was found bleeding have been referred to Forensics. The items seized from the scene of the incident have been referred to explosives experts. According to family members he was suffering from disorders caused by chronic family disputes.

Indian commits suicide: An Indian farmhand at a farm in Abdali area committed suicide for unknown reasons, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. According to sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information about the suicide, securitymen and paramedics rushed to the location. They found the victim hanging from the ceiling with a noose around his neck. They pulled the corpse down and referred it to the Forensics Department. Investigations are ongoing to determine the cause of farmhand’s suicide.
