KUWAIT CITY, Aug 15, (KUNA): Deputy Director-General for Public Authority for Agricultural Affairs and Fish Resources (PAAAFR) Faisal Al- Hasawi said Wednesday that the Authority has established a center in Doha port to monitor fish imports.

The center aims to examine imported shipments of fish to ensure safety, he said in a statement, adding that the traders importing the fish must present health certificates, apply safety conditions in terms of packaging and transportation. These controls and requirements will contribute significantly to reducing illegal fish imports, he added.
