‘Hoax bomb’ call leads to arrest of illegals, call girls

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 14: A hoax bomb call led to the arrest of 40 expatriates found to have violated the Residency Law and some are involved in prostitution. The Operations Room at the Interior Ministry dispatched security officers and bomb experts to a building in Jahra after receiving a call from an unidentified person who claimed a bomb has been planted in one of the flats there.

However, the call turned out to be a prank but it guided the officers to a group of people using some flats in the building as prostitution dens. After ascertaining the validity of information on the illegal activities, the officers obtained a search and arrest warrant from the Public Prosecution. The officers then raided the apartments where they arrested eight expatriates of various nationalities and 32 Asian women for violating the Residency Law and prostitution. All those arrested were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
