Public complains of outdated medicines at hospitals, clinics

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 11: Many people who frequently visit the government hospitals and polyclinics have complained of getting expired medicines, reports Al-Shahed daily. Some of them have circulated pictures of expired medicines which were given to them by the pharmacies of these respective hospitals and clinics. The patients have called on the Minister of Health to enforce the supervisory role of those in charge because the issue is serious since it is concerning the health of the people.

Meanwhile a Kuwaiti citizen was arrested for assaulting a Kuwaiti woman in public opposite Rumaithiya Cooperative Society and stealing her vehicle. According to security sources, the Kuwaiti woman had filed a case against the Kuwaiti citizen who stays in Ishbiliya area, accusing him of stopping her in front of Rumaithiya Cooperative Society, assaulting her and driving away in her sports vehicle. She submitted a medical report to indicate the injuries she sustained due to the assault. Using the details provided by the victim, securitymen arrested the Kuwaiti citizen and referred him to the concerned authorities for necessary action against him. Meanwhile, three unknown individuals forced a Kuwaiti citizen to stop his vehicle by the road in Surra area, assaulted him and stole his mobile phone and KD 500 from his wallet. He informed securitymen about the incident and provided descriptions of the suspects. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the suspects.
