KD 1 million worth jewelry stolen

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 10: Police are looking for unidentified thieves for stealing gold jewelry worth KD one million from a Kuwaiti businessman living in Hitteen, reports Al- Shahed daily. In his complaint to the police the businessman said he discovered the theft after he returned home from a vacation abroad. He told the police the thief entered the house through the kitchen window. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints.

50 bottles seized: An unidentified Bangladeshi who was caught in possession of 50 bottles of locally manufactured booze has been referred to the General Department for Drugs and Alcohol Control, reports Al-Anba daily. The daily quoting security sources said the bootlegger was caught in Jleeb Al- Shuyoukh.

Woman arrested: The Special Night Duty Patrolmen affiliated to the Jahra Governorate have arrested a Kuwaiti woman who was wanted by the law enforcement authorities, reports Al- Anba daily. According to security sources the woman was caught while driving in Jahra. When an officer requested to see her civil ID, she claimed that she did not have one and when the officer checked her fingerprint, it showed she is wanted by law in 16 civil cases. She has been handed over to the concerned authorities.

Family dispute: A Kuwaiti woman, whose identity has not been disclosed, has filed a complaint with the police accusing her brother of breaking her jaw during an argument over family problems, reports Al-Rai daily. The complainant has submitted a medical report which also shows bruises in many parts of her body. The Riqqa police are looking for the suspect.

Tires, cash stolen: An unidentified Egyptian has filed a complaint with a police station accusing an unidentified person of stealing the tires of his car and KD 500 from the dashboard drawer, reports Al-Rai daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the suspect.

  Coach robbed: A football coach has filed a complaint with the Jahra Police Station accusing an unidentified person of breaking into his vehicle and stealing KD 300 and smart phone, reports Al-Rai daily. He told the area police station the car was parked in the parking lot of the Al-Naeem Cooperative Society. ❑ ❑ ❑
