Sexagenarian arrested with drugs, unlicensed weapon & bullets

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 9: A Kuwaiti citizen in his 60s has been arrested in possession of ‘Shabu’, hashish and certain quantity of illicit drugs, in addition to an unlicensed weapon with 19 rounds of bullets, reports Al- Anba daily. In compliance to the directives issued by the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Security Affairs Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali that securitymen should implement tight security measures to avoid crimes, officers from Directorate General for Drug Control were patrolling Messila area when they suspected an individual who had parked his American-made vehicle along the roadside.

When they checked the details of the suspect, they discovered that he is a Kuwaiti ex-convict. They searched his vehicle to find the illicit drugs and unlicensed weapon.

They also discovered that his vehicle had a fake number plate. He has been referred to the concerned authorities for investigations and necessary action against him.

Meanwhile, Farwaniya securitymen arrested a Bangladeshi expatriate in possession of 20 sachets of heroin, reports Al-Anba daily. The officers also apprehended two Asian expatriates in possession of 90 bottles of liquor. The suspects confessed that they bought the liquor from a certain location in Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh area so the securitymen have taken necessary steps to raid the den. The Bangladeshi expatriate was referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against him.
