Foul play suspected in GCC expat’s hanging death

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 7: A 49-year-old GCC expatriate committed suicide by hanging himself inside his house in Sulaibiya area. According to security sources, when the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior received information from Sulaibiya Clinic about the death of a GCC expatriate prior to reaching the clinic, securitymen rushed to the location. Medical examiners informed securitymen about marks of strangulation around the victim’s neck. The victim’s family members informed securitymen that they saw him hanging from the ceiling of a prefabricated room in the house with a rope around his neck. They rescued him and rushed him to Sulaibiya Clinic. However, medical examinations revealed that the man had died before he arrived at the clinic. His corpse was referred to the Forensics Department and a case was registered for investigations.

Office shot at: An unknown individual fired gunshots at the office of Central System for Remedying Status of Illegal Residents (CSRSIR) in Ardiya area. The bullets damaged the window glasses and reached up to the fourth row of workstations inside the office. According to security sources, when the security guard of the office notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior about the shooting, securitymen led by Assistant Security Director of Farwaniya Governorate Major General Mohammad Al-Enezi rushed to the location. They closed the entrances and exits of the area and conducted a massive search for the suspect. They also examined the building and collected evidences and CCTV records to identify the unknown suspect. A case has been registered for investigations.
