DAESH head eyes ‘attack’ on Kuwait - MoI vigilant

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 6: The leader of DAESH, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, has expressed his malicious intent towards Kuwait in his blog on Twitter declaring his intention to attack the country, reports Al- Anba daily. He said the organization does not want to get into America, but Washington will come to them.

He added: ‘We cannot reach America, but it will come to us, when we attack Kuwait, so we shall have the opportunity to fight America and take revenge’ Meanwhile, a Kuwaiti, whose identity has not been disclosed, has informed the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry that someone telephoned him and offered him KD 10,000 to join the DAESH, reports Al-Rai daily.

He added, the caller talked much about the conditions in the region, before going to the subject of jihad in what he called the support for religion and to defend its believers. He ended up professing his affiliation to DAESH and called on the citizens to join the organization. A security source said police rushed to the house of the Kuwaiti to explore the circumstances of the call and reported the incident to the State Security.

In another development, the Ministry of the Interior is monitoring the activities of some Kuwaiti Twitter users particularly those who sympathize and support the Islamic caliphate ‘DAESH’, and foment unrest to destabilize the security and stability of the country, and promoting sedition, reports Al-Anba daily. The sources added those who are found guilty will be punished.
