Net cafe manager acquitted of providing porn access

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 4: The Misdemeanor Court acquitted an expatriate who manages an internet café in Farwaniya of inciting immorality in public after the Public Prosecution accused him of exposing pornographic materials to customers for a certain fee. Defense Lawyer Fareeh Al-Kooh affirmed that his client pleaded not guilty to the charges even during interrogation, stressing he is only a supervisor of the internet café and whatever the customers do inside the cabins is not his responsibility. He maintained that all he could do is to warn people to bypass the websites that have been blocked by Ministry of Communications, because they contain pornographic sites.
