Egyptian expat beats up car rental manager

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: An Egyptian expatriate was arrested for refusing to pay for a vehicle that he rented from a car rental office, reports Al- Seyassah daily. According to security sources, when the Egyptian expatriate returned the vehicle to the car rental office in Ardiya Industrial area, he refused to pay the four-day rental charges, claiming that he used the vehicle only for three days. When the manager demanded him to pay the charges, he started insulting and beating the manager.

The Kuwaiti owner of the car rental shop arrived and settled the quarrel. He checked the rental contract of the vehicle and discovered that the expatriate had used the vehicle for four days and not three, as claimed by the expatriate. He notified the Operations Room of Ministry of Interior after which securitymen rushed to the location and referred the expatriate to Ardiya Police Station where necessary action was taken against him.

Maid beats sponsor: An unidentified Asian maid has been referred to a police station for allegedly beating her elderly female sponsor, reports Al-Anba daily. According to security sources the maid got annoyed when the sponsor caught her in an abnormal condition
