25,538 vehicles enter Kuwait through border points from July 24-30 About 24,546 vehicles exit during the same period: Al-Saif

KUWAIT CITY, Aug 1: Director- General of Public Department of Customs Khalid Al-Saif has disclosed that approximately 25,538 vehicles entered Kuwait through the Salmi and Nuwaiseeb border points between July 24 to July 30, 2014 and about 24,546 vehicles left Kuwait through the same outlets during the same period, reports Al-Anba daily. In a press statement, Al-Saif said, during the Eid Al-Fitr 15,677 passenger vehicles entered the country and 13,588 left Kuwait during the same period.

He added 9,861 vehicles entered and 10,958 left through the Salmi border post. In another development, the Ministry of Public Works revealed the tender for the project linking Wafra, Mina Abdullah Road, Mina Al-Zour and Sabah Al-Ahmad Housing City roads with the Custodian of Two Holy Mosques Road will be floated in the next week. An official from the ministry said the cost of the project is estimated to be KD 130 million and six companies will be hired to carry out the project after getting approval from the Central Tenders Committee and State Audit Bureau.
