‘Security campaigns to deter illegal residents, law-breakers’ ‘Border security personnel shield homeland’

KUWAIT CITY, July 31, (KUNA): Assistant Undersecretary for General Security at the Ministry of Interior Major General Abdul Fattah Al-Ali Tuesday lauded the efforts by policemen in Farwaniya province to preserve security and safety in Kuwait and provide the best services for people.

Major General Al-Ali also praised cooperation among security bodies to preserve security and stability nationwide in Kuwait. He stressed that there are ongoing security campaigns to deter violators and lawbreakers in order to impose security in all provinces.

Major General Al-Ali called on personnel to be alert round the clock and combat decisively any negative phenomenon. Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs and the acting Assistant Undersecretary for Information System at the Interior Ministry Maj Gen Abdullah Al-Muhanna Tuesday hailed the efforts by General Department of Traffic.

While paying a field visit to the department in the Eid Al-Fitr vacation, Maj Gen Al-Muhanna stressed the ongoing renovation of traffic systems and efforts to develop comprehensively the department. He also visited the General Department of Information system and checked on the process there, reviewing systems which back traffic and monitoring room.

Meanwhile, Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior’s Assistant Undersecretary for Border Security Affairs Major General Sheikh Mohammad Al-Yousef Al- Sabah reiterated that border security personnel are the shield of the homeland and its watchful eyes. Sheikh Mohammad Al- Yousef made these remarks while inspecting a tour of several border security checkposts on Monday, the first day of Eid Al-Fitr holiday. The tour included both northern and southern borders. Sheikh Mohammad congratulated security people, especially border guards, on the occasion of Eid. He also lauded the high efficiency and readiness of border security personnel.

Meanwhile, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior for Ports of Entry Affairs Major-General Anwar Al-Yassin said that ports of entry security personnel are efficient and ready to deal with any emergencies. He lauded their role in preserving security in Kuwait. Furthermore, Assistant Undersecretary of Ministry of Interior for Operations Major-General Jamal Al- Sayegh hailed the efforts of the department of Rescue Police. He said that the department has a tangible and active role. He moreover hailed the role of civil defence while at the same time he congratulated security personnel on the occasion of Eid
