Heroin, knife with man Arab expats held with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, July 27:  An Egyptian and a Jordanian were arrested in Hawally for the possession of narcotic substances. While patrolling the area, a team of officers got suspicious when they noticed the erratic movement of a vehicle.  They signaled for the driver to pull over for routine inspection.  They demanded for the identification cards of the driver — an Egyptian and his Jordanian companion.
Upon checking the security records of the suspects, the officers discovered the Egyptian is wanted by law for involvement in a drug-related case.  The Egyptian escaped from the scene on foot and the Jordanian followed suit after taking a small bag from the vehicle.
Police chased the suspects and this led to their arrest.  During inspection, the officers found four rolls of hashish, some packages of shabu and KD330 in the possession of the suspects who were referred to the concerned security department for the necessary legal action.
Meanwhile, Securitymen from the Capital Governorate have arrested an unidentified person for possessing 8 sachets of heroin and a knife, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The suspect was arrested near one of the mega markets off the Fourth Ring Road. He has been handed over to the General Department for Drugs Control.
And, Police have arrested an unidentified bootlegger and are looking for another who escaped on foot when a police patrol drove in the direction of two suspicious looking men in Farwaniya, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Police have seized from the bootlegger 12 bottles of imported alcohol and 50 bottles of locally manufactured booze.
