‘Public prosecutor summons former MP in criminal case’ Worker killed in accident; maid dies in fall

KUWAIT CITY, July 26: Lawyer Imad Al-Seif said the public prosecutor has summoned former MP Ahmad Al-Saadoun on a criminal case, reports al-Seyassah daily. Al-Seif in a tweet via social networking site Twitter said Ahmed Al-Saadoun is at the Public Prosecution upon a criminal case filed against him after a successful long escape from this situation and pushing others to their fall on many occasions. Al-Seif declined to mention the cause or nature of the complaint against Al-Saadoun.

Worker dies in accident: A Nepali worker of a home-delivery restaurant was killed on the Sixth Ring Road in a horrifying traffic accident. The daily gave no further details, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. Meanwhile, a Nepali housemaid met her untimely end after falling from the rooftop of the sponsor’s house in Hadiya, reports Al-Rai daily. She was rushed to the Adan Hospital but died 24 hours later. Police are since conducting investigation in that regard.
Girlfriend blackmailed: Po-lice apprehended a Kuwaiti youth for alleged blackmail when he threatened to disgrace his girlfriend unless she paid him KD 2,000, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the girlfriend lodged a complaint against the youth for threatening her and then police set a trap by making the woman act as if she was going to pay the money, and arrested him.
