The KD 134,000 and one million dollar counterfeit notes seized from the two citizens.
Huge amount of fake currencies seized

Two citizens have been arrested by Criminal Evidence Men for smuggling forged Kuwaiti currency estimated at KD 134,000 plus $1,000,000 from an unspecified Arab country with the help of a Customs officer. Director of the Criminal Evidence Department Major General Mahmoud Al-Tabakh was notified that two citizens were trying to smuggle forged currency into the local market and detectives placed the duo under surveillance. They were arrested in one office at Sharq in possession of forged KD 134,000 and $1,000,000 after security operatives had confirmed the information. 
 
The suspects during investigations confessed smuggling forged currency into the country with the aid of one Customs officer whom they paid KD 350 monthly. All suspects have since been sent to the concerned authority. The Criminal Evidences Department confirmed security operatives will continue the campaign against vice and currency counterfeiters.
