Car broken into Wanted Kuwaiti citizen, Syrian caught with drugs

KUWAIT CITY, July 25: A wanted Kuwaiti citizen and a Syrian expatriate were arrested in Salmiya area in possession of hashish. According to security sources, Hawally securitymen were patrolling Salmiya area when they suspected a vehicle and stopped it for checking. They discovered that the driver is a Kuwaiti citizen while his companion is a Syrian. Checking their details, securitymen discovered that the citizen was wanted by law for his involvement in a criminal case. They also found a piece of hashish and KD 1,000 from the Syrian expatriate. Both suspects were arrested and referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action against them.

Meanwhile, Hawally securitymen arrested an Asian expatriate and an Asian woman in Hawally area. According to sources, Hawally securitymen stopped the Asian expatriate who was driving a Japanese-made vehicle and was accompanied with a woman of same nationality. Securitymen checked their details to discover the woman was reported as absconding three years ago. Investigations revealed that the man helped the woman by hiding her in a flat in Hawally area. Both suspects were arrested and referred to Hawally Police Station.

Car broken into: A Kuwaiti recently reported a car burglary in Mubarak Al-Kabeer, disclosing the thief took KD40, a laptop, civil ID and bank card from his vehicle. According to the citizen, he was surprised when he got out of his house as he found his car door open. He quickly checked the contents and to his dismay, the abovementioned items were missing. He called the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry which deployed a team of officers to the location. Fingerprints were then lifted from the car to identify and arrest the culprit.

In an unrelated incident, another Kuwaiti reported that his car -a black Yukon - was stolen. In the complaint he filed at Fahaheel Police Station, the citizen mentioned he parked the car in front of his car but he it was nowhere to be found. Investigations are ongoing to recover vehicle and arrest the thief. Moreover, unknown persons stole the tyres of a Kuwaiti man’s car which was parked in the parking lot of a health club in Sabah Al-Salem. Investigations are in progress to arrest the suspect.
