KUWAIT CITY, July 24: Police are looking for 5 youngsters for kidnapping and raping a 17-year-old GCC girl, reports Al-Rai daily. A security source said the girl was friendly to one of the suspects and he lured her to meet him in an apartment in Salmiya. When she went to the apartment, she was shocked to find four friends of her lover waiting in the apartment. She told the police all of them one by one then had sex with her against her will. She went on to say after having sex with her they dropped her on a street at a late evening hour and told her to find her way home. She then sought the help of an unidentified motorist to take her home. She then narrated her story to her mother and she complained to the police.

Girl lured for sex: Police are looking for an unidentified youth for harassing a young Kuwaiti girl and inciting her to commit immoral acts, reports Al-Rai daily. This happened inside one of the malls. The daily quoting security sources said the suspect followed the girl (who was with her mother) to wherever she went. And when she attempted to avoid his glances, he insisted that she take his phone number. The girl took the phone number and gave it to her mother and the latter informed the Salmiya police. The suspect turned out to be the complainant’s neighbor.

Women caught ‘eating’: Two Kuwaiti women who were caught for breaking the fast during day time have been referred to the concerned authorities, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily said an unidentified Major-General was on his way to work and he saw a traffic accident. When he went to solve the problem, he saw the two women not only abnormal but the official also saw leftovers of fresh food.

Wrong place, wrong time: An unidentified expatriate Arab woman has filed a complaint with the Maidan Hawalli Police Station accusing her husband of beating her, reports Alam Alyawm daily. In her complaint she told police she was with her friends at the Shaab Al- Bahari and her husband accidentally happened to see her. He got annoyed and insulted her followed by beating her. The woman has submitted a medical report showing injuries on her body. The incident happened half-anhour after iftar.

Yemeni caught begging: Police have arrested an unidentified Yemeni for infiltrating into the country and begging for alms, reports Al-Rai daily. The beggar was seized by the Jahra patrolmen near the Jahra Stables. At the time of arrest the man had in his possession KD 350 which he had collected on the first day after arriving in Kuwait. The beggar has been referred to the concerned authorities to prepare his deportation.

‘Ghost in home’: In a strange incident, an unidentified Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the Daiya Police Station ‘accusing a spirit’ of attempting to strangle her inside the hall of her home, reports Al-Shahed daily. When the officer at the police station advised the woman to see a psychiatrist, she got angry and ran riot inside the office and left.

Phone thief held: Police have succeeded in arresting the suspect who specialized in stealing new cell phones from shops, reports Al-Shahed daily. The arrest came after intensive investigations conducted by securitymen. The daily did not give more details.

Rich man’s son rescued: A nineyear- old son of a well-known millionaire businessman has been admitted to the intensive care unit of a hospital, reports Al-Shahed daily. Without going into details the daily said the boy was rescued after he almost drowned in a swimming pool.
