Call to probe terror links Dual citizens in MoI check

KUWAIT CITY, July 24: The Search and Investigation Department of the General Administration for Citizenship and Travel Documents is looking into the files of citizens who are believed to be holding dual citizenships (Iranian, Europeans and other Gulf countries), reports Al-Shahed daily. The daily quoting reliable sources said this is done on behalf of the Ministry of Interior to take a suitable action. The sources added this is done in cooperation and coordination with the security authorities in the concerned countries.

Meanwhile, a group of employees from the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs have asked to form an inquiry commission following reports one of the departments at the ministry is supporting terrorist organizations, reports Al-Shahed daily.
The employees have called on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior and acting Minister of Awqaf to form the committee manned by outsiders. Some employees based their accusations on a report published by one of the local newspapers that one of the departments in the Islamic Studies sector of the Ministry was collecting donations in cash and kind in collaboration with individuals and hosting hardcore personalities who promote terrorist ideas.
And, when police were looking for an unidentified person for advertising the sale of blue flasher lights, the type used by police vehicles through a cell phone, their investigations came to an abrupt end when they received a message which said the number has been disconnected from service, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, this proves the advertiser was one step ahead of the investigation authorities.
