GTD refuses driving licence for ‘mandoub’ and manager

KUWAIT CITY, July 14:A Kuwaiti citizen died in his family house at Andalous area due to overdose of drugs. Materials for administering drugs were found beside him.

A security source said the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry received a call from a family member reporting the deceased was found unconscious inside his room.

Acting on information, a team of rescue men rushed to scene, and paramedics checked the body and confirmed he had already died. Criminal Evidences Men found materials for doing drugs and a sachet of heroin beside the body. The corpse was referred to Forensics and a case registered.

Meanwhile, a Bangladeshi expatriate slumped and fainted due to a heart attack, while walking in Sabah Al-Salem area. No further detail was given.

 ‘Go home’: The Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs in Interior Ministry Major General Abdullah Al-Muhanna has issued orders directing the concerned officials to send back scores of vehicles belonging to reckless motorists to their respective GCC countries.

The vehicles, bearing registration numbers of other GCC states, were locked away in the ministry garages and will be returned to the authorities in relevant GCC countries at the end of the confiscation period.

A security source said traffic men impounded several vehicles carrying GCC number plates to the ministry garages while their owners were performing stunts to endanger life.

Major General Al-Muhanna has since ordered the concerned officials to deliver all vehicles to concerned authorities in the respective GCC countries and blacklist the vehicles to prevent them from entering Kuwait again.

 ‘No licences’: The Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs at the Ministry of Interior Major-General Abdullah Al-Muhanna announced that the traffic department has turned down applications for driving licences for company representatives particularly those whose designations show they are purchase or sales officers and others, reports Al-Anba daily.

According to Al-Muhanna instructions have also been issued to refuse applications from managers under different names including finance manager or labor affairs manager, etc.
