Nepalese man commits suicide by hanging at worksite Asian woman in suicide bid

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: A Nepalese man committed suicide by hanging in an under construction building in Kabad. Securitymen and medical emergency workers were dispatched to the location after the Operations Room at the Interior Ministry received information about the incident.

The corpse was referred to Forensics and initial investigations revealed the Nepalese had a problem back home which may have prompted him to take his own life.

A case was registered and investigations are continuing to determine the actual circumstances leading to the incident. In an unrelated incident, an Asian woman tried to kill herself by drinking pesticide in the house of her sponsor in Riqqa. She is now confined at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) in Adan Hospital. Investigations are underway to find out reasons behind the suicide attempt.

Citizen held: An unknown individual slammed his pickup into two vehicles in front of a Kuwaiti citizen’s house in Surra area. According to security sources, the citizen informed officers of Surra Police Station that the driver of a pickup damaged his vehicle and his wife’s vehicle which were parked in front of his house. He revealed that his neighbor’s Asian driver witnessed the incident and provided him with the details of the unknown suspect. Investigations are ongoing to find and arrest the suspect. Meanwhile, surveillance cameras that were placed in front of a house in Adan area captured two Kuwaiti citizens fleeing after damaging two vehicles. Both citizens were arrested and a case was filed against them. They were detained in police custody and will be referred to the Public Prosecution.
