Water supply to 4,785 consumers to be ‘cut’ Dues not paid

KUWAIT CITY, July 9: Ministry of Electricity and Water will soon suspend water supply to 4,785 consumers who have not yet paid their bills, reports Al-Rai daily quoting sources from the ministry. They revealed that the total number of consumers whose water supply has been halted so far is nearly 6,000.

The sources explained that the Consumer Affairs Sector sent a list to the Water Operations and Maintenance Sector with the details of the consumers whose water supply has to be suspended in the next few days due to the non-payment of their dues.

Meanwhile, they assured of the availability of sufficient water supply even though the latest consumption rate has become 435 million gallons, indicating that the strategic water stock in the storage tanks is 3,805 gallons. In addition, sources revealed that Unit 3 of Shuaiba Station has started functioning after the completion of maintenance operations and it produces 220 Megawatts, adding that all units of the station are working properly.
