Bangladeshi smuggles drugs in a Lungi

KUWAIT CITY, July 6: Security operatives at Kuwait International Airport foiled an attempt by a Bangladeshi national to smuggle a kilo of marijuana wrapped in a piece of cloth (traditional lungi), which he carefully concealed inside his luggage. The officers discovered the illicit drug while conducting the routine check and the suspect confessed smuggling the contraband for trafficking purpose. He was referred to Drug Prosecution

Drugs seized: Security operatives attached to Jahra Command arrested a military man affiliated to the Interior Ministry at Oyoun for possessing drugs and its paraphernalia, with an unspecified amount of money. The officers were on regular patrol when they suspected the military man driving a Japanese-made vehicle and requested him to pull over for checking. To their surprise, the suspect started driving in the opposite direction to escape checking, but they pursued him and forced him to stop. They found the contraband on him after a search. He was referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.

Delivery boy robbed: Police are looking for three unidentified persons for attacking an unidentified man working for the home-delivery restaurant, reports Al- Rai daily. In his complaint to the Riqqa Police Station, the victim said the men were armed with knives and they stole from him KD 110 and five food parcels.

Charity box stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for breaking into a mosque in Al-Qairawan and stealing charity money, reports Al-Shahed daily. Personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints to identify the culprit.
