KUWAIT CITY, July 5: The Court of Appeals presided over by Judge Hesham Al- Taweel has ordered the board chairman of a real estate company to pay KD 56,000 to an engineering consultancy office and annual interest of 7 percent in case of delay in payment. According to the case files, Lawyer An’am Haider represented the engineering consultancy office. During the court session, she said the two parties had signed a contract worth KD 125,000 for the engineering consultancy to plan, design and execute a project in Syria.

Even though the engineering consultancy respect the conditions specified in the contract, the real estate company paid only part of the due amount. Accordingly, the court ordered the real estate company to pay the remaining due amount.
