Unfit meat seized - Magic charms found with Iraqi family

KUWAIT CITY, July 3: Personnel from the Kuwait Municipality of the Jahra Branch during a campaign against foodstuffs factories inside the Sulaibiya Industrial Area are said to have confiscated 210 kilos of inedible meat, reports Al-Seyassah daily. The daily did not give more details.

Meanwhile, Customs officers at the Abdali border post have confiscated magic charms from the possession of an Iraqi family, reports Alam Alyawm daily. It has been reported the family was on a visit to Kuwait the charms were for a Kuwaiti family. The Iraqi family claimed the charms did not mean harm to anybody and was for personal safety and good health.

2 held with drugs: The Farwaniya police have arrested two persons - a policeman working for the Ministry of Interior and a civil employee of the General Traffic Department - for possessing and consuming drugs, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. The daily added at the time of arrest in a suburb of Rihab both men were under the influence of drugs. Police have reportedly seized from the men six sachets of drugs and referred them to the General Department for Drugs Control.

Drugs with Kuwaiti: The Farwaniya police have arrested a Kuwaiti man who is believed to be in his 40s for possessing four narcotic pills and two sachets of heroin, reports Al-Watan Arabic daily. He was taken into custody in Khaitan. The contraband and the suspect have been referred to the concerned authorities
