Gang of thieves held

KUWAIT CITY, July 1: The Hawalli police have arrested three persons (two Kuwaitis and a Syrian) for breaking into cars, reports Al-Rai daily. The arrest came after police received several complaints from citizens and residents living in Salmiya about the theft of valuables from their cars. Intensive investigations led to identifying one of the thieves after tracing his phone calls. During interrogations he broke down and admitted to committing the crime and gave police the information about his accomplices. All suspects are said to have admitted to breaking the glasses of 16 cars and stealing valuables. They also said they targeted cars parked in front of commercial complexes on weekends. They have been referred to the Public Prosecution

Account hacked: Police are looking for an unidentified person for allegedly hacking the bank account of the daughter of an unidentified MP from the First Constituency, reports Al-Shahed daily. Without going into details the daily said the man has withdrawn an unidentified sum of money. The case has been handed over to the e-crimes department of the Ministry of Interior.
