Pakistani held with drugs, cash

KUWAIT CITY, July 1: Special Forces officers arrested a Kuwaiti youth at Salwa in possession of two rolls of hashish while in the company of a girl who claimed to be his wife. The two suspects were referred to the concerned authority. Meanwhile, security operatives apprehended a citizen and a Bedoun for possessing drugs in Farwaniya area after the narcotic substance known in the local market as ‘shabu’ and rolls of hashish were found on them. Also, a Pakistani national was nabbed by the police with drugs and KD 600 cash in his keep. He was referred to the relevant authority for necessary action.

Child rescued: Firefighters from Hawalli and Technical Rescue Stations rescued a child whose fingers were stuck in a metal. Acting on information, the officers went to the rescue of the child at the operation theater of Mubarak Al-Kabeer Hospital without delay. It took the firemen a short period to cut the metal to remove the child’s fingers. A case was registered. Head of the Hawalli Fire Station Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Al-Khidir supervised the operation.

Car stolen: Police are looking for an unidentified person for stealing a car from a well-known company, reports Al-Rai daily. The daily added, a Kuwaiti saw a car carrying Saudi number plate parked near his home in Taima and informed the Operations Room of the Interior Ministry. Police rushed to the area and found out that the car and the number plate had been reported stolen
